Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day)

The moment the Memorial Day ends, Independence Day begins, which could explain the somewhat manic depressive Israeli temperament. Independence Day is a hectic day in Tel Aviv, with tens of thousands of partiers coming over from nearby towns to party, and party hard. You can’t find standing room, let alone a chair, in bars and clubs, and everything gets more expensive. People who value their personal space or are looking for a quiet place to drink might prefer to sit this one out, but if you are into crowded parties – you’ll love it.

In Florentine neighborhood you can find overpopulated street parties, while other parts of the city, such as Neve Tsedek and Rothschild Blvd., offer less crowded alternative events.
