Café
The Old North
If you’re looking to make the most of the city’s so-called café culture, this is the area to go to. Take a seat on a street corner, get top quality cappuccino, taste fresh baked bread or croissant from one of Tel Aviv’s excellent bakeries.
The Old North might have the largest concentration of cafés in the world. Or at least the largest concentration of quality cafes, as they seem to outnumber the local alley cats.
You can sit yourself down in a class-act coffee place like Idelson 10 (117 Dizzengoff, 10 Maclhei Israel or Ben Yehuda corner of Yirmiyahu), where you can take the load off and chill out. Atnachta café (190 Dizengoff) is another popular choice, with homemade hummus to boot. If you prefer less crowded affairs, drop by Sirkin, (Frishman corner of Sirkin), a 2.5 story neighborhood café with a wooden deck and good coffee and sandwiches.
