Nightlife

Jaffa

Like everything else in Jaffa, the nightlife here is a combination of stark contrasts. You’ll find the swankiest of bars, all armed with architectural and interior design concepts and the best alcohol around. And you can also visit popular dark, crowded and loud neighborhood bars. This town has become as cool as can be, but it hasn’t been able to push out the old and the tired just yet, so these two extremities make for an interesting blend.

Another Nir Zook gem is the Jaffa Bar (30 Yefet), right there in his complex, next to Cordelia and Noa. It attracts mostly older crowds. Leo 5 is in Mazal Dagim (Pisces) in the Zodiac Alleys, just beneath the Ilana Goor Museum. It’s a fine place to hang out in. Saloona (17 Tirza) is another favorite. It has a neighborhood feel to it, with an artsy twist, weird retro 50’s-60’s décor and strong alcohol. It sometimes moonlights as a gallery for local artists.
