Jaffa

The Flea Market

One of the undisputed highlights of Jaffa, the Flea Market has all kinds of bargains: new and second hand clothes and accessories, antiques, oriental knickknacks and artifacts, furniture and all the sorts of junk one can sell. The vendors here run a hard bargain so come prepared to haggle, and haggle hard.
The market in its current location has been standing here since the 19th century. Its comprised of a few streets and many back alleys running back and forth.
In recent years the Flea Market has turned more up market, with boutique shops, gourmet restaurants and posh bars. On Fridays it’s especially crowded, mostly by families looking for a good ambience and a stroll outside, with many dining options.
The Flea Market Street Fair is on Thursdays at 8PM and the market itself is open from Sunday to Friday and closed for Saturday, the Muslim holy day.

Ha’Tachana Complex

Boutique jewelry stores, clothes stores, cosmetics and concept shops offering unique articles you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the city, certainly not in this wide a variety that’s in one single place. But don’t expect to get any bargains.

There are two markets in the complex – one of Product Designers and “Concept Designers” (Thursdays 7PM-midnight) and an Organic Market (Fridays 8AM-3PM).
