Tel Aviv Beaches
The esplanade is home to restaurants that target you tourists. That means that you’ll find here an array of chef cuisine mixed alongside international menus, and overpriced restaurants charging more so for the view than the food. There’s always a lot of hustle and bustle going on,, everything seems to be in motion, with beach goers stopping by for a bite still wearing their swimsuits, French or American families having a quality dinner, or couples looking to treat themselves to a fine night out. As this is tourist central, the pros are that everything is accessible and tourist-friendly, and the cons are that everything is accessible and tourist-friendly. It’s more of an ex-territorial area, for better or worse.
Olive Leaf (Sheraton Hotel, 115 Ha’Yarkon), is a popular choice for those of you eating nothing but kosher food. It has a lot of meat dishes and good deserts with a splendid beach view. Boccaccio (106 Ha’Yarkon), offers Italian, seafood and Mediterranean food in a minimalist atmosphere and plenty of wine options. A prime example of the variety of restaurants in West Tel Aviv is Armando (88 Herbert Samuel), which specializes in fish and seafood Moroccan style. The spicy fish casserole has drawn praise.
