Metzitzim Beach

(formerly Sheraton Beach)

It is on the northern edges of the city center, just south of the port, and  starts right after  Nordau Boulevard’s most western intersection, corner of Ha’Yarkon Street.

Metzitzim gets its name from a 60s cult Israeli movie. It’s quiet, with a combination of hip crowd and families. At times it truly seems as if only beautiful people are allowed, so even if you plan on doing absolutely nothing, your eyes will definitely get a workout.

The water can be great for dipping, even if sometimes not very clean. There’s a little man-made lagoon, so the water is always calm and never cold.

There’s a café-restaurant on the beach.
