Tel Aviv Beaches
The boardwalk is where most of the foreign alcohol drinkers go to when the sun goes down, and there’s certainly something for every taste. You have your exclusive spots, with pricy alcohol and fashionably dressed crowd, your backpacker hangouts with beer and fries, and your beach bars for drinking while the breeze caresses your face and hair. As for locals, not a lot of Israelis venture this far west, and those who do are mostly out-of-towners.
Mike’s Place (86 Herbert Samuel) has been a tourist Mecca for quite some time, with its backpacker following, sports lovers (there are sporting events showing on screens) and music lovers (there are live performances). It’s right next to the US embassy and it’s so crowded that people seem to be spilling out into to the street.
A more classy joint is Fashion Bar (1 Herbert Samuel), a dance bar that has Fashion TV showing on giant screens, a good sound system and sofas to lounge on. On the same block you can find Sense, a three-story dance club with several dance floors and bars, and another dance floor on the roof open during the long and warm summer months.
